The day had finally come! The day that your best friend, Gilbert, had been talking about for months now, his birthday! He would be calling you any minute to make a huge announceme-
Just as that thought crossed your mind, your phone rang. It was Gilbert, just as you had predicted. You giggled slightly before picking up your phone and answering.
"HEEEEIIII ______~~~!" He screamed through the phone. You giggled again.
"Hello, Gilbert!" You stood up,still holding the phone to your ear. You started walking around in circles as he spoke.
"Do you remember vhat today is??" He asked you enthusiastically. You decided to trick him, so you answered him in a confused tone.
"What do you mean? Is today something special?" You giggle quietly to yourself, waiting for his response.
"VHHAAATTTT?" He yelled into the speakers in a booming voice.
"I'm kidding,Gil!" You laughed, flopping back down onto your bed. You heard him sigh in relief.
"Gut." He chuckled, and you sighed happily.
"Happy Birthday,Gil." You said after a long pause.
"Danke..." He replied with a smile.

You were getting ready ready for Gilbert's birthday party when someone knocked on your front door. Curiously, you went towards the door and peeked through the curtains, and saw Gil's face beaming through the window, with a big grin on his face from ear to ear. Surprised to see him at your house, you opened the door.
"Gil, what are you doing here?! I was just getting ready to go over to your house for the party- Mmph!"
Before you could say more, you felt his lips crash into yours. Although, it wasn't rough, it was loving and tender. You blushed and stare into his eyes, your eyes wide with surprise. But nonetheless, you kissed him back with an equal amount of love.
"I-I don't get it..." You stared.
"I just vanted to get my birthday present. I couldn't vait."
You tilted your head to the side.
"But Gil, I didn't have the money to get you anything..." You frowned.
"What do you want?" You asked.
He kissed you again, even more lovingly than before.
